Lauren Hanninen, MS
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Lauren Hanninen is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and the founder and CEO of Eunoia Counseling. Lauren received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy at Illinois Wesleyan University in 2003. She received her Masters of Science degree from Illinois State University in 2005 in Clinical-Counseling Psychology.
Lauren has extensive experience in working with adolescents, teenagers, families, and adults in the DuPage and Will County communities. She has been told many times that she has a knack for putting people at ease and fostering a warm and open environment in the therapy room. As a seasoned counselor with 20 years of experience in the field, she has seen and dealt with most of the issues that bring people to therapy. Through her experience, Lauren has become an expert in identifying the most helpful interventions that target her clients’ goal areas.

Mila is somebody who meets her clients exactly where they are at with understanding and empathy.
Mila is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 11 years of experience. Her treatment focus areas include eating disorders, anxiety, depression, social skills, self-harm, self-esteem, relationships, postpartum depression, attention and attachment/trust issues.
She obtained her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. Her internship was focused on working with people with FASD (fetal alcohol syndrome disorder), as well as adjustment and attachment issues and families working through the adoption process.
Mila is passionate about building a strong therapist-client relationship based on mutual trust, understanding, and acceptance. She is down to earth and creates a non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to share their past and current struggles, deepest fears and future goals. She helps clients reach their full potential by building on their current strengths and expanding those strengths with new skills. Mila helps clients foster the dialectical skills of mindfulness such as self-awareness and non-judgment.

Diamari Velez
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Diamari Velez is a proud first-generation Latina American and Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to inclusive, affirming, and trauma-informed mental health care. She earned her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from St. John’s University and her Master of Social Work with a concentration in forensic social work from DePaul University. With a foundation in both clinical practice and social justice, Diamari brings a culturally responsive, client-centered approach to her work, serving children ages 5 and up, adolescents, and adults across diverse settings.
Diamari’s clinical expertise is rooted in neurodivergent-affirming care, particularly supporting individuals on the Autism Spectrum and those with ADHD. Drawing from both her background in Applied Behavioral Analysis and lived experience, she has evolved her approach to emphasize autonomy, identity, and strength-based support. Diamari incorporates evidence-based practices including DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and ACT to address emotional regulation, unhelpful thought patterns, stress reduction, and values-based living, all while centering each client’s resilience and lived experience.
As a bilingual, bicultural clinician, Diamari weaves her identity into her work, addressing how culture, language, and systemic barriers shape mental health experiences. Her practice spans domestic violence, adolescent and young adult issues, perinatal mental health, and legal system involvement. Whether advocating in forensic settings or offering compassionate care in private practice, Diamari remains committed to equity, empathy, and making mental health care accessible and affirming for all.

Diamari Velez es una orgullosa mujer latina de primera generación en Estados Unidos y Trabajadora Social Clínica Licenciada, dedicada a ofrecer atención de salud mental inclusiva, afirmativa y con enfoque informado en trauma. Obtuvo su licenciatura en Psicología y Sociología en St. John’s University y su Maestría en Trabajo Social con especialización en trabajo social forense en DePaul University. Con una base sólida en práctica clínica y justicia social, Diamari ofrece una atención culturalmente sensible y centrada en la persona. Trabajando con niñas y niños a partir de los 5 años, adolescentes y personas adultas en diversos contextos.
Su experiencia clínica se basa en un enfoque afirmativo hacia personas neurodivergentes, especialmente aquellas dentro del espectro autista y personas con ADHD.
